Penticton is bidding to bring the Scotties Tournament of Hearts to our Community.

But we need your help! BY JUNE 10!

We are asking for $100 deposits for a full week pass to the tournament. We need at least 1000 full event passes by JUNE 10, 2016 in order to submit our bid.

The deposits we collect shows the Scotties organizers our commitment to the event!

This tournament will mean a HUGE influx of people into our community and a boost to our local economy during the winter season.

Pre-event passes are for a full event pass, which includes every game and entry to the patch each day.

Deposits can be made at the Valley First Box Office (at the SOEC), Wine Country Visitor Centre, via phone at 1-877-SOEC-TIX (763-2849) or online at

The $100 deposit is refundable if Penticton does not get the 2018 event. If Penticton does get the event, patrons who have made the $100 deposit must follow through and buy tickets for the tournament or their deposit is forfeit.

  • Is the 2018 Scotties confirmed for Penticton?

The 2018 Scotties will be awarded by the Canadian Curling Association on August 30, 2016. A strong level of local support will greatly improve the chance of bringing the Scotties to Penticton.

  • What are the dates of the 2018 Scotties Tournament of Hearts?

    January 27 – February 4, 2018

  • What does my $100 deposit guarantee?

Curling fans who make the $100.00 deposit will be guaranteed first opportunity to purchase a full event pass when they go on sale. The deposit cannot be applied against any other ticket package.

  • How much will the full event pass cost?

The exact cost will be finalized when the bid is awarded at the end of August 2016. Based on previous Scotties, the cost of a full event pass is expected to be in the range of $369-400. The 2017 Scotties, to be held in St. Catherines, is $369 plus taxes and applicable fees.

  • What happens to my $100 deposit if the bid to host the tournament is unsuccessful?

Should the bid be unsuccessful, the entire amount of your deposit (including any taxes and applicable fees) will be automatically refunded.

  • When will the remaining balance for each full event ticket become due?

Once the bid has been awarded to Penticton, the Local Organizing Committee will communicate directly with the event ticketing agent (Valley First Tix) and provide final details on cost, as well as payment options and schedule.

  • When and how will I get my tickets?

We are unable to confirm a delivery date and method at this time, however the Local Organizing Committee will be in contact with all fans who have made a deposit.

  • What does a full event, all access pass entitle me to?

A full event pass will reserve your seat to all 21 draws of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts games, including the Playoffs and Final game. Additionally, it will also be your admission to the world famous Patch at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

  • Once purchased, can the event pass only be used by me or can I gift it or sell it to someone else?

The Event pass can be sold or gifted to someone else.

  • Why are you accepting deposits before the Bid is actually awarded?

In order to improve the likelihood of winning the Bid, the Penticton area needs to demonstrate to the Canadian Curling Association that there is significant local interest in hosting the event.
